What is Yarn Quest?
Yarn Quest is one part knitting pattern, one part Role-Playing Game, and one part Choose Your Own Adventure. Each quest is a knitting pattern, and as the player leads their character through the quest they come across enemies to battle, choices to make, and items that all influence the patterns knitted on the project.
That's what makes Yarn Quest so special - almost every project is unique.
Storied Yarns is an introduction to Yarn Questing for those who have never played an RPG, and provides new patterns and play styles for those who have partaken in previous campaigns. The book will be a full color hardcover including tutorials, lore, patterns, and lots of artwork. There will be tutorials for how to play, along with tutorials for how to use the double knitting technique.
Don't like double knitting? Can't knit, but like to crochet? There are plenty of methods to join in the fun! Questers have done previous projects in colorwork knitting and Tunisian crochet. There's no limit to what you can do!

Good evening, Backers,
I am really sorry I missed the last update, I'm on day 11 of a light-sensitive migraine I got from changing my password to get my friends onto my Ravelry account to try and move patterns to the new site. I've been unable to computer outside of dark mode for the last week and a half, so I've gotten nothing done. My friends, however, got all of my pattern info and documents off Rav so as soon as white screens stop hurting my head I'll be able to get the new site set up along with send out all of the files that are set to go. My hope is that that will be this weekend, if not I'm going in to the doctor and trying a different migraine medication. I'll keep y'all updated.
Please, if you ever experience any neurological issues do not go on Ravelry. It isn't worth it.
In regards to a few questions I've gotten -
Starry night mugs are starting to arrive, as most of you have probably seen USPS is having... issues. I think they're nearly all sent out. I'm sending out the next batch of add-ons for the Sweet Pea and Fires Within mugs, then those will be shipping.
Bags apparently got delayed. I'll be keeping after it. Physical books will be discussed in the next update.

Quick end of month update

Hi all,
Sorry that this is a shorter update, this week Ravelry has pulled a few stunts and I'm dealing with what is essentially the official implosion of where and how I normally run my knitting design business.
There will be a larger update next week after I get my secondary site all set up. I will still be updating on Ravelry for those of you able to use it. I have a team helping me get all my patterns and descriptions downloaded so I can set them up in their new locations. For those of you not able to use Ravelry, well, technically for everyone, I'm going to be emailing all of the pattern updates out directly through Backerkit, along with trying to set up coupons for Payhip. We'll work out kinks as they come. All the previous patterns will also be sent via Backerkit.
If anyone needs help getting patterns of any sort off of Ravelry please let me know, we have a good network of dependable folx more than willing to help. And for those of you struggling with any of the issues Ravelry has been causing I see you and I believe you, and I'm so sorry you're with us and have to deal with this.
Physical rewards update - Starry night mugs and corresponding extras are going out, next up should be Sweet Pea if I remember right (might be Fires Within, my brain is a bit all over the place). I've also got packages with single d6, 6d6, stickers, and pins getting put together that will start to go out next week. New and improved Feline Companion face is all made up and I'm making the new silicone molds for production next week. The Dragon Companion has landed at her home, so I can finally show her off! Quick note on me selling handmade dice, prints, and other stuff - I have to cover extra shipping costs for the Kickstarter since I'm splitting orders and my income has taken a hard hit this year from my usual revenue sources (all conventions cancelled, Ravelry fiasco, etc). Alternative income is not taking away from Kickstarter work, as I don't need to stress my left hand to make dice and I can do it when I need to rest my nerve (which is a lot, it's healing poorly and there's not much I can do.) Fear not, none of the Kickstarter stuff is being sold before y'all receive your packages.

First, quick clarification - we're shipping US first because our postal system for international mail is a mess and we're going to hold off for a while on international orders. We'll keep you updated as things progress.
Second, I just sent out a call for any US Backers with the Starry night mugs to finalize their addresses, if you're not in that group then the best way to do so is to go to https://storied-yarns.backerkit.com/ , enter the email that you used to back the Kickstarter, click through to the 3rd or 4th page, and that should be your address. If for some reason you can't get that to work message me on Kickstarter and I'll get your updated address. I will concurrently be getting packages together for the stickers and dice that'll go with the mugs and shipping those.

Hi all!
I wanted to let you know I haven't vanished into the aether, I've been sick the last week with some nasty vertigo sadly caused by the Ravelry site update. If you have any sorts of issues with migraines, seizures, or vertigo please stay off their site until there is an update to properly fix their issues.
That being said, I'm working on backup plans for book and pattern repositories. Nothing is set in stone yet, I'm giving it until the end of July before I enact any of the plans but this has thrown a bit of a wrench in everything. There will be a pattern update for the eBook next week both on Ravelry and at a link on my personal site.
I am so sorry if this has caused anyone any issues by hosting on Ravelry. If you need patterns sent to you please let me know and I will get them to you as soon as I can.

Hey all!
As many of you know, I live in a suburb of Minneapolis. With everything that is going on I haven't been able to focus enough to finish up things for the update that was supposed to be this week, and I don't want to half ass it (especially not with the next project that's upcoming).
Next update will be next week, along with the final clue stuff for Four Elements III and the launch of the next lore pattern.
